SharePoint Core Training

SharePoint Core Training

Overview

This 2-day class provides a grounds-up understanding for applying and using the most commonly employed features and functionality of SharePoint. While SharePoint has well over 100 unique functions, organizational use generally focuses on about 30% of capability. This course will begin with the general use, operation, and building of sites in a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 environment. Students will then learn about site navigation, collaboration, content management, and data storage/retrieval through instructor-led modules that include both demonstrations and hands on exercises in a live SharePoint environment.  Students will be briefly introduced to site administration, and the management of lists, libraries, security and rights, views, and workflows. Functional concepts and best practices are interwoven into the material, providing a framework for the topics discussed. While the course is oriented to MOSS 2007 it is also applicable to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
